These social workers help individuals, families, and groups cope with mental health issues, emotional challenges, and difficult life situations. They often work in settings like hospitals, mental health clinics, schools, and private practice, collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support clients' well-being. Clinical social workers must also meet licensing requirements, which typically involve supervised experience and passing a state exam.
