Summary
You will serve as a Deputy Acquisition Program Manager Logistics (DAPML) located at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama within the WEAPONS SUSTAINMENT MANAGEMENT DIVISION, SUSTAINMENT PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & ANALYSIS DEPARTMENT of NAVAIRWARCENWPNDIV CHINA LAKE. You will serve as a Precision Guided Munitions (PGM) DAPML within PMA-242 Precision and Time Sensitive Strike Program.

  • You will serve as the principal assistant to the Assistant Program Manger for Logistics (APML), responsible for the tactical execution of the weapon system's Product Support Strategy.
  • You will provide logistics leadership and direct program management to ensure the system is operationally available, maintainable, and sustainable.
  • You will develop, maintain and update the Life Cycle Sustainment Plan (LCSP), ensuring all 12 Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements are addressed.
  • You will manage the execution of depot-level repairs, including the induction, tracking, and return of mission-capable assets.
  • You will coordinate with Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) and Army counterparts to manage inventory, direct asset movement, and oversee receipt, inspection, and shipping policies.
  • You will assist the APML in the development and management of the logistics budget, providing direct input for the Program Objective Memorandum (POM) cycle.
  • You will serve as a primary logistics point of contact for direct fleet support, addressing emergent operational and maintenance issues.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • MSP/PPP applicants must currently hold the required security clearance.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11/12 grade level or DS-04 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Experience in logistics, supply chain management, or program management within a defense or aerospace environment, with demonstrated expertise in managing logistics requirements for DOW (Department of War) systems; 2) Demonstrating strong technical background, including proficiency in logistics management systems, inventory control, and supply chain optimization tools, as well as familiarity with applicable acquisition processes, regulations, and logistics policies such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition regulation Supplement (DFARS), and Military Standards (MIL-STDs); 3) Utilizing strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to manage and mentor teams effectively, present complex logistics strategies to senior leadership, and build relationships with government agencies, contractors, and suppliers; 4) Applying excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on continuous improvement and operational efficiency.
