Job Summary:

Education / Experience / Knowledge
Education: B.S. Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience
Experience: Minimum 5 years experience or equivalent demonstrating strong results in Safety program implementation and training programs
Knowledge: Strong understanding of MSHA regulations relating to manufacturing environment.
Essential Function
Responsible for coordinating and conducting training activities at all locations for MSHA, OSHA ,and SGI training requirements. Develop new training materials for all Part 46 training requirements and other training as required. Responsible for scheduling and conducting Industrial Hygiene sampling all locations per the SGI IH sampling plan. Work with plants to develop new and update existing JSA's, SOP's or FMEA's. Facilitate MSHA training, MSDS, and MSHA Citation databases and update reporting structures to ensure compliance with all regulatory and SGI requirements.

Job Responsibilities
Schedule and conduct New Miner Training for all plants through either on-site training or Adobe Connect sessions.
Schedule and Conduct Annual Refresher training for all plants through on-site courses.
Conduct Task training classes as coordinated through plants
Develop task training database/spreadsheet for mobile equipment and operations
Conduct IH sampling at all plants based on SGI IH sampling plan distributed by Corporate.
Work with plants/training teams to develop task training materials for all required task training
Coordinate and develop MSDS database for all plants to ensure database is current and accessible for all plants
During site visits, conduct contractor audits to ensure compliance with SGI Contractor Safety Handbook
Work with plants to schedule Examinetics annual medical testing and ensure retests and notifications are completed timely
Coordinate and manage database for all SGI MSHA required training and develop process for plants to receive and access current information.
