Description The State Director is a senior-level position responsible for overseeing the Office of the Attorney General's (OAG) external operations, managing relationships with key stakeholders, ensuring clear, effective communication between OAG and the public. Examples of Duties Duties include, but are not limited to the following: Identify, organize, and manage external events for the Office of Attorney General. Direct Scheduling staff including supervision, assignments and workflow to ensure all preparatory work for events is completed well in advance of being scheduled and proper advance documents are completed.

Identify, cultivate and manage relationships with various constituencies based on the services provided by and policy priorities of OAG. Develop the marketing plan and messaging to those constituencies in coordination with the Chief of Staff and Communications team. Represent OAG in all areas of the state, including meeting and maintaining professional relationships with federal, state, and local elected officials and agencies as well as community business leaders and constituents.

Coordinate with the Legislative and Policy team to ensure cohesive communication regarding OAG's legislative and policy work. Manage a team of field representatives in designated districts who represent OAG at public events, meetings with local officials and community engagements. Manage constituent services staff who assist constituents with questions involving OAG, navigating state agencies or other public resources Interpret and coordinate all information gathered from the field representatives to appropriate Executive and Senior Staff.

Create reports and tracking mechanisms for constituent, field, and scheduling inquiries to ensure completion of follow-up items. Other duties as assigned. Typical Skills and Qualifications Requirements: Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Ability to manage staff and delegate tasks effectively. Proficient understanding of local and state government. Excellent interpersonal and public relations skills.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in a political or governmental setting is preferred. Flexibility to work long hours, including evenings and weekends.

Ability to multitask and adapt quickly to change. Proficient in MS Office 365. The Office of the Indiana Attorney General is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
