Job description

Position Summary

The Sales Operations Administrator provides centralized support focused on supporting the sales operations team's strategic objectives. Collaborating closely with key partners across the organization, the incumbent leads tactical execution for the management of the sales process and sales technology solutions, helping the sales organization run efficiently and effectively. The incumbent champions a unified approach to sales management including sales planning and process across all lines of business and divisions within the organization, with a goal to drive sales growth. 

This position can be a hybrid position with monthly travel to Rutland, VT Casella Home Office based on the needs of the business.

Hiring range: $60,000-$95,000

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales Process: Coordinates and manages training and resources to ensure that the sales team is up to date with sales process standards and new functionality, including:
    • Building sales process through pursuing continuous improvement to support the broader sales organization.
    • Supporting sales process development by designing and implementing best-in-class training practices.
    • Navigating and understanding interdependencies of a variety of technical tools and software systems.
    • Creates and maintains training documentation for all sales processes, including how-to guides and SOPs for front and back-end users, ensuring an updated and organized resource library is available and accessible to all employees.
  • Sales Technology Administration: Maintains knowledge of and expertise in CRM (Customer Relationship Management) and other related sales technology solutions. Works to ensure data capture is accurate and meets business needs, including:
    • Implements sales technology best practices to accurately capture and store data, as well as deploying processes to audit the CRM and other tech solutions on a recurring basis and provide clear feedback to the field teams.
    • Acts as a resource to the team, providing support and guidance and coordinating with relevant internal parties to resolve issues.
    • Leads the set-up of CRM back-end data (e.g., teams, territory, pricing, contracts), ensuring data and logic are accurate while also establishing best practices to ensure efficient product management.
    • Maintains knowledge of the latest technologies, version updates, and enhancements and recommends updates to enhance the current system to increase efficiency and usability.
  • Change Management: Provides tactical support for sales operations roadmap, defining and championing efficient and replicable change management processes.
    • Defines process and procedures for managing and prioritizing change requests in coordination with key stakeholders.
    • Manages project timelines and deliverables, ensuring quality work is delivered in a timely manner.
    • Leads user acceptance testing (UAT) process and approvals, coordinating with cross-departmental teams.
  • Sales Culture: Participates in building a unified team across a decentralized organization.
    • Fosters strong relationships, providing best-in-class support as a partner and liaison between various departments and teams, including sales, finance, IT, marketing, operations, and customer service, in addition to stakeholders from other parts of the business.
    • Participates in creating an inclusive, engaged, and unified community to ensure connectivity among the sales team and with cross-departmental teams.
    • Seeks to understand business needs, creates opportunities to share information, advocates for the use of a common language, and engages in ongoing dialogue with internal teams to ensure inclusivity.
  • Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, its products, sales, and services, and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values.
Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent and a demonstrated ability to work as part of a team in a collaborative environment. A highly developed attention to detail and strong verbal and written communication, organizational and planning skills are required. Demonstrated ability to critically analyze and improve system workflows, 4+ years of CRM experience, MS Dynamics preferred with 2-4 years of project experience working with inter-departmental teams. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
