JOB TITLE: MRO Buyer


DEPARTMENT: Materials Department


REPORTS TO: Materials Manager


POSITION SUMMARY: The MRO Buyer is responsible to order, track and ensure on-time delivery of all Maintenance, Repair and Office supplies that are requested via manual requisitions. The MRO Buyer also assists in creation of shipping orders for product being sent to outside suppliers.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1) Contact suppliers to get best pricing and delivery of items requested via manual requisition, using phone email and internet.

2) Monitor requisitions for correct approval signatures based on total value of the product being ordered.

3) Enter, save, print and send purchase orders using the company ERP system and server files.

4) Follow-up with suppliers to ensure product received when needed.

5) Organize and maintain supplier files on the company server.

6) Create shipping documents for product that needs to be returned or sent to outside suppliers for additional processing, repair, or calibration.

7) Assist other Buyers with expediting when needed.

8) Assist with inventory and item set-up and changes within the ERP system for consumable items.

9) Other duties as assigned.


SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.


POSITION TYPE

This is a Salaried- Non-Exempt full-time position.


TRAVEL

Travel (less than 10% of work time).


REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

ยท Associateโ€™s degree with 1-2 years relevant experience

ยท Strong interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.

ยท High degree of organizational skills and attention to detail.

ยท Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
