Description

Purpose of the Position: The McLeod Special Projects Specialist (BI Solutions Consultant, MPact) will provide training and support of the McLeod IQ and Cloud IQ products and front-end BI tools as well as Business Analysis (BA) services to the McLeod IQ customer base. The primary focus will be training customers on using Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Power BI to access the data in the IQ products to generate analytical reports and dashboards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Train customers and assist with report building via phone/Web-Ex or on-site 2–3-day visits (most training is currently being conducted remotely)
  • Training to include IQ data model terminology, technology overview, and front-end reporting tools
  • Work closely with customers to determine reporting and analysis requirements, project priorities, and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Work with customers to define any custom requirements for IQ and work with McLeod IQ analysts or developers to document functional specifications for these customizations
  • Follow through with customers with review and approval of these specifications and Statement of Work (SOW)
  • Create or assist customers in creating reports in Power BI and Excel
  • Provide first level support for customer reported IQ issues when not actively training
  • Assist with the development of McLeod IQ and Cloud IQ training documentation and videos
  • Documenting processes and contributing to reporting template repository for future use
  • Collaborate/communicate with teammates and other McLeod teams on project timelines, customizations, and/or any customer issues to ensure a positive customer experience
  • Work with the IQ development team on product improvement initiatives

Qualifications

Education/Experience
  • Bachelor's degree with 2+ years of business analytics or internal/external customer technical/software focused training, support, and/or other customer facing positions, required.
  • Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, required.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power BI for report building and data analytics, preferred.
  • Experience working with SQL, a plus.
  • Experience and understanding of accounting standards, terms, principles, and reports such as: Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow, Budgets, Cost Analysis, Revenue Recognition, Accruals, Allocations is a plus.
  • Transportation industry experience is preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of McLeod’s LoadMaster and PowerBroker products, preferred.
