Job description

Role Purpose

The Regional Head of People Function for Maersk Contract Logistics will lead the end-to-end People Function agenda across North America, driving both operational excellence through the FLPO organization and strategic business partnering in close collaboration with the MCL Global PbP.

This role requires a balance of deep operational expertise and strong strategic capability to enable business performance, build organizational capability, and deliver an exceptional employee experience across the region.

Key Responsibilities

Business Partnering & Strategic Leadership

  • Own and drive the regional People Function roadmap aligned to business strategy
  • Act as a strategic advisor to regional leadership to enhance business performance
  • Lead workforce planning, organizational design, and SG&A alignment
  • Drive MCL organizational development and strategic interventions
  • Lead leadership coaching and capability development initiatives
  • Oversee succession planning for critical roles
  • Design and implement incentive frameworks for indirect employees

Operational Excellence (People Function Delivery)

  • Oversee end-to-end HR operations across the region, including:
    • Recruitment and onboarding
    • Rewards and payroll management
    • Employee engagement and lifecycle management
    • Employee exits and offboarding
    • Compliance investigations and adherence
  • Lead new site implementations and ensure seamless People Function setup
  • Support procurement and vendor management activities
  • Drive adoption and optimization of HR platforms (e.g., T&A, VNDLY, frontline dashboards)
