The Opportunity:

  • As a Special Operations Forces Emerging Threats, Operations, and Planning Support (SOFETOPS) Academic Developer, you will be responsible for designing and developing approaches to teaching and learning practices for Special Warfare Training Squadron's (SWTS) Modernized Pararescue Provider Program (MP3).
  • You will contribute to the enhancement of academic practice across MP3, inspiring excellence in teaching, learning and assessment.
  • You will support and lead teaching and learning practice development, enabling MP3 to continue to provide high-quality learning to meet the needs of its student population.
  • You will identify and disseminate effective practices, playing a central role in driving the improvement of the teaching and learning experience, and enabling student success.

Responsibilities:
โ€ข Determine course curriculum sequence to meet educational and instructional goals and outcomes of MP3 POI.
โ€ข Create curriculum and POI through Planning, Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation, and Maintenance (PADDIE+M) instructional design method.
โ€ข Recommend course material(s) that support MP3 curriculum and POI to include, slide decks, charts, graphs, media, computer aided/generated graphics and content, booklets, handouts, and distance learning software.
โ€ข Design practical exercises that accurately assess student knowledge and performance.
โ€ข Design academic exams to assess student knowledge, retention, and performance.
Qualifications:
Required:
โ€ข Minimum of 3 years of experience of training and exercise development and delivery.
โ€ข Demonstrated experience in utilizing Blackboard and integrating curriculum, evaluations, and student tracking mechanisms into Blackboard.
โ€ข Demonstrated operational or institutional training domain experience and integration across Doctrine, Organization, Training, Materiel, Leadership & Education, Personnel, and Facilities (DOTMLPF).
Desired:
โ€ข Master's Degree or Bachelor's degree.
โ€ข Active PMP certification.
โ€ข Instructional Systems Design Certification (CISD, CTT, CTTS, or CTM).
โ€ข Demonstrated, recent (within the last five years) experience with or knowledge of the SOF training environment.
โ€ข Proven understanding of the emerging and non-traditional concepts that are shaping the character of contemporary joint and multinational warfare.
