Facilities Services Division provides quality customer service by maintaining a safe, healthy, and aesthetically pleasing environment in which students, faculty, and staff can function and accomplish their educational objectives and by supporting a patient care culture that continuously improves. Facilities Services' responsibilities include Interior and Exterior Facilities Support, Construction, Space Management, and Environmental Services.
Job Summary
Provides moving and logistical services at Augusta University. Working in conjunction with Environmental Services event support and warehousing operations under the Department of Environmental Services. Assist the Moving Supervisor with day-to-day moving and logistics operations. Provides other support as needed.
Responsibilities
The job duties include, but are not limited to:
MOVING SERVICES : Assist the Moving Services Supervisor as needed to coordinate activities. Assist with training all Moving Technician I staff. Processes moving requests in a timely manner. Notate and sign any changes in logistics documentation. Ensure documentation for all activity is complete, accurate, and submitted daily to the EVS Manager. Operate all moving motor vehicles and equipment in a safe manner. Report any equipment accidents or problems to the supervising authority.
EVS SUPPORT : Assist with special projects such as Power Washing, Window Cleaning. Other duties as assigned.
WAREHOUSE OPERATIONS : Place all Items in the correct location in the warehouse and storage areas. Assist with warehouse operations as requested to maintain a safe and orderly work environment. Provide logistical services between warehouse locations and to support departmental and warehouse operations. Delivers janitorial supplies between all campuses.
SPECIAL EVENTS SUPPORT : Provide special event support activities with departments. Assist with Inventory and availability of tables and chairs as needed. Report missing table and chairs after the event. Provide delivery, pickup, and storage of event support materials. Coordinates requests with customers.
OTHER DUTIES : Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High School diploma, GED or equivalent from a recognized State or Federal accrediting organization, and a minimum of one year of work experience. Must have a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications
Materials management, warehouse, and logistical experience is beneficial.
