Job description

Moving Crew Leader/Driver 

Our client, an established commercial moving and storage company serving businesses throughout the Boston area, is looking for an experienced and dependable Moving Crew Leader/Driver.

This is a direct hire, full-time position for someone who can safely operate a box truck, lead a crew, and provide professional customer service.

Pay: $23-$27/hr, based on experience
Schedule: Monday-Friday, full-time
Additional Hours: Evening and weekend hours available

Responsibilities:
  • Safely operate a box truck, preferably up to 26 feet
  • Lead and direct moving crew members and helpers
  • Coordinate daily assignments and follow job schedules
  • Load, unload, wrap, pad, and safely transport furniture and equipment
  • Communicate professionally with customers and office staff
  • Provide excellent customer service throughout each job
  • Disassemble and reassemble furniture and equipment as needed
  • Set up and break down customer events
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe truck and work area
  • Ensure jobs are completed safely, efficiently, and professionally
Qualifications / Experience:
  • Previous moving or similar physical-labor experience required
  • Previous crew lead, foreman, or supervisory experience preferred
  • Box truck driving experience; trucks up to 26 feet preferred
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Commercial or residential moving, furniture delivery, construction, warehouse, restoration, or event setup experience is a plus
  • Physically capable of performing demanding work throughout the day
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills
  • Able to work independently and make decisions in the field
