Description: This position is for movers and crew leaders with current work experience in the moving industry or related field. The right candidate has demonstrated that he/she can lift heavy objects above 75 lbs., and has the cardio to continue this task over consecutive hours. The right candidate is able to follow directions and learns quickly when using the proper tools and equipment to complete jobs safely and efficiently. We are looking for someone for a long-term position with a path to a crew leader role and pay raises.
Who We Are: We are Mighty Moving, a local moving division of National Van Lines, located in Elk Grove Village, IL. Our goal is to provide valuable and respectful employment for our staff, as well as trustworthy customer services for our customers.
Responsibilities:

  • Show up on time to work in appropriate Mighty Moving uniform attire.
  • Assist in the loading and unloading of furniture and other items onto trucks/trailers, or within the same building, sometimes going up and down stairs or elevators.
  • Furniture assembly and disassembly (experience preferred but not necessary).
  • Basic customer service skills.
  • Able to drive a pickup truck, attached trailer, moving trucks, and other non CDL vehicles
  • Gives ample notice of time off requests.
  • In the event of a sick day or other emergency, is willing to contact coworkers to fill in for scheduled jobs.
  • Good communication skills.
