• Conduct comprehensive screenings and evaluations for pediatric patients to assess their physical abilities and rehabilitation needs.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans aimed at restoring and enhancing physical function, mobility, and relieving pain, in alignment with each patient's goals.
• Engage in direct patient care including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and functional training to support recovery.
• Provide education and support to families and caregivers, focusing on home programs, progress updates, and discharge planning to ensure continuity of care.
• Collaborate closely with office staff and multidisciplinary teams including rehabilitation aides, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and outcomes in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.
• Consult with physicians and specialists to evaluate patient progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment approaches.

In this role, you will specialize in providing physical therapy services primarily to pediatric patients with a range of diagnoses including developmental delays, orthopedic conditions, neurological disorders, and post-surgical rehabilitation. Your expertise will play a crucial role in enhancing their functional capabilities and empowering families through education about the therapeutic process.

• A valid Florida Physical Therapy License is required.
• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy is mandatory; a Master’s or Doctorate in Physical Therapy is preferred.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience in an acute care hospital or rehabilitation setting, specifically dealing with pediatric populations.
• Strong knowledge in anatomy, physiology, and proficiency in trigger point therapy techniques.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients and families, with a compassionate approach to care.
• Familiarity with hospital medicine practices and a team-oriented mindset.

• Experience with individualized patient treatment plans in a busy rehabilitation environment.
• Knowledge and skills in utilizing adaptive equipment and therapeutic modalities specifically for children.
• Formal training in pediatric physical therapy modalities is a plus.
