Job description

Smart Source is looking for a Staff Accountant to join our team in West Palm Beach. We are currently transitioning ERP systems from Demand Bridge to Microsoft Business Central. Any experience in either system is preferred but not required. This will span the course of several months but allows the candidate to acquaint him/her self with the major processes that drive the financial statements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

  • Summary Billing
  • Daily deposit preparation
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Posting credit card transactions for certain customers
  • New Customer account setup
  • New Vendor Setup
  • Billing corrections
  • Assist in maintenance of documented system of accounting policies and procedures
  • Assist in month end account reconciliations
  • Monthly inventory reconciliations
  • Assist in providing supporting documentation for year end audits
  • Being willing to learn more complex formulas and comparisons is a must.

HIGH LEVEL COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS:

  • detail oriented, strong at multitasking, with a general grasp of accounting processes (Sales/AR/Cash Receipts and Inventory/AP/Cash Disbursements).
  • Must have good communication skills as this position will be required to work with employees at the local office as well as satellite offices around the country.
  • The candidate should be comfortable assisting the Director of Accounting Operations with certain high level tasks as well as helping out with various lower level tasks (roll up your sleeves type).
  • We need a candidate who is a team player and willing to help on whatever issues pop up.
  • Candidate must have experience using Microsoft Office Products (Word, Outlook, Excel).
  • Demand Bridge is used for our supply chain management and accounting function. Any experience with this is a plus
