Position Summary

The Relocation Consultant plays a key role in generating new business, building customer relationships, and ensuring accurate move estimates. This position requires a professional, customer‑centric individual who can work independently, communicate effectively, and represent First Class Moving Systems in the community.


Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Actively manage new and existing leads resulting in booking appointments and sales
  • Live meetings with customers focusing on estimating, pricing, and brand differentiation resulting in closing the sale
  • Follow up effectively with potential customers to maintain a high closing ratio
  • Prospecting and intensive networking to identify and develop new business
  • Conduct in-home and virtual surveys to assess the scope of household goods moves.
  • Advise customers on the move process, service options, policies, and expectations.
  • Deliver accurate and timely estimates based on company pricing tools.
  • Follow up with all leads in a timely and professional manner.
  • Network within the local community and business groups to generate new business.
  • Secure self-generated appointments and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.

Operational Communication

  • Clearly communicate customer needs, special requirements, and expectations to Move Coordinators and operations staff.
  • Assist in resolving service issues, including those that may arise after normal business hours.
  • Partner with Move Coordinators on problem‑solving and customer satisfaction.

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update the sales lead system, CRM, and personal sales calendar.
  • Keep the iPad pricing app and other estimating tools updated.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and on time.
  • Travel regularly within the assigned sales territory.


Qualifications:

  • Work experience in the moving industry, real estate, or outside sales beneficial
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple leads.
  • Willingness to occasionally work outside normal business hours.
  • Understanding of contracts, pricing structures, and service agreements.

  • Valid driver’s license and insurability under company requirements.
