Job description

Our client is hiring aย VPย of Mortgage Operations to lead and oversee all mortgage operations for a growing lending organization. This is a hybrid position which will require at minimum one day in office a week.
This position owns operational execution across underwriting, closing, and funding, with full responsibility for pipeline workflow, Encompass configuration, and process improvement. Theย VPย of Mortgage Operations serves as the operational backbone of the organization.
Key Responsibilities
โ€ข Lead and oversee all mortgage operations functions, including underwriting, closing, and funding
โ€ข Manage and develop an operations team of approximately 15โ€“20 employees
โ€ข Provide direct oversight and leadership to the underwriting manager
โ€ข Own Encompass LOS setup, workflow configuration, and ongoing optimization
โ€ข Design, implement, and enforce operational policies and procedures
โ€ข Build and refine pipeline processes to improve efficiency and consistency
โ€ข Drive performance metrics and operational accountability
Qualifications
โ€ข Prior experience in aย VP-level mortgage operations role at a mortgage lender
โ€ข Experience overseeing full mortgage operations departments
โ€ข Proven leadership of mid-sized operations teams
โ€ข Hands-on Encompass implementation and workflow ownership experience
โ€ข Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency
โ€ข Reside in or willing to relocate at own expense to Salt Lake City, UT.
Compensation
