Job description

We’re seeking a Senior Vice President of Mortgage Lending to lead a bold, long-term initiative that will redefine how we serve customers and expand our footprint. This is more than a leadership role—it’s an opportunity to build, innovate, and drive results that will make a lasting impact.

What You’ll Do
  • Build and lead the bank’s mortgage department, including strategy, staffing, and revenue goals.
  • Develop a comprehensive suite of mortgage products and services.
  • Create policies, procedures, and workflows to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and manage Mortgage Loan Originators (MLOs) and operations staff.
  • Drive growth initiatives and profitability for the mortgage division.
  • Oversee underwriting standards and ensure loans meet regulatory and secondary market guidelines.
  • Manage vendor relationships and mortgage software applications.
  • Represent the bank in community and civic activities to strengthen market presence.
What We’re Looking For
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or related field (MBA preferred).
  • Experience:
    • 7–10 years in residential mortgage lending.
    • 3–5 years in a management or supervisory role.
    • Proven success managing origination and operations teams.
  • Skills:
    • Deep knowledge of mortgage regulations and secondary market guidelines (Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac).
    • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.
    • Proficiency in loan origination software (e.g., Encompass) and Microsoft Office.
  • Licensing: S.A.F.E. Act registration through NMLS required.
