About this Opportunity:

The Production Technician plays an integral role in the assembly and testing of mechanical and light electrical system assemblies, working from released engineering documentation. This position ensures that all manufacturing operations are conducted efficiently and accurately, contributing to the overall success of the manufacturing process. The role is a hybrid production and warehouse position supporting the operational needs of the Wilmington facility. The Production Technician reports to the Production Supervisor.


PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the primary duties.


Assembly/Production

ยท Assembly of mechanical and light electrical systems from released documentation.

ยท Use of crane, rigging and/or forklift.

ยท Learning the components within mechanical systems being assembled.

ยท Identify documentation issues and report discrepancies to the Production Supervisor or Engineering.

ยท Review work instructions and follow special requirements as documented.

ยท Compare kitted parts to bill of material (BOM) for any discrepancy and report.

ยท Ensure assemblies are built to the specified requirements.

ยท Test and troubleshoot light electrical systems.

ยท Cut, profile, and package linear rail.


Communication/Workflow

ยท Provide input to the design team, when requested, regarding final assembly and recommendations for future units.

ยท Remove parts from work-in-process (WIP) carts daily as assigned.

ยท Understand assigned job priorities and daily production expectations.

ยท Communicate job status, delays, or material shortages to the Production Supervisor

ยท Identify and report material issues between production and engineering.

ยท Foster a positive team environment; be respectful and consistent in communication.


Quality/Housekeeping

ยท Follow all quality standards, procedures, and corporate Quality Management System (QMS) requirements.

ยท Ensure that workshop is clean and presentable to customers and machinery/tools are in good order.


Warehouse Support

ยท Support Warehouse Team with receiving, stocking, order pulling or shipping functions, as needed.

ยท Perform other duties as assigned.

Location:

Evolution Motion Solutions is headquartered in Farmers Branch, TX with additional offices in TX, UT, AL, AZ, MT, OK, MA, MI IN, IL, OH and Canada. This position will be based out of our Wilmington, MA facility.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below are representative of the education, experience, skills and/or abilities required. An individual must meet the minimum requirements as listed in each Qualifications subsection.


EDUCATION:

ยท High School Diploma.

ยท Technical or vocational training is a plus.


EXPERIENCE:

ยท 2-4 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

ยท Proficient in reading engineered drawings, schematics, and bill of materials.

ยท Experience in an AS9100 and/or ISO9001 environment with exposure to industrial/manufacturing engineering principles and methods preferred.

ยท Forklift certification or equivalent experience required.

ยท Familiarity with warehouse operations and RF/Wi-Fi data collection devices preferred.


SKILLS & ABILITIES:

ยท Strong mechanical aptitude, familiarity with hand tools and hardware including torque wrenches and machinist rule.

ยท Problem-solving and Technical troubleshooting skills

ยท Ability to follow released work and test instructions

ยท Ability to work independently and in a prototype environment.

ยท Effective written communication skills.

ยท Strong organizational skills; detail-oriented and able to multi-task.

ยท Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

ยท Proficiency in Microsoft products (Outlook, Excel, Teams).


PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

The work is active and fast paced, requiring frequent reaching, stooping, bending or kneeling. On occasion, the work may require climbing a ladder or scaffolding. The employee will stand and/or walk for long periods of time on the cement floor. On occasion, must be able to lift from pallet height and carry items up to 50 pounds unassisted. Must be able to use company-issued computer and communications equipment.


WORK ENVIRONMENT:

The employee is regularly exposed to a general warehouse environment. Noise, dust, and temperature and humidity fluctuations may all be present. The environment involves machinery with moving parts, forklift traffic, and exposure to steps, slippery and uneven surfaces. Work after normal business hours and on weekends may be required.
