Shift: Day Shift | 9:00 AM - 7:30 PM
Schedule: 40 Hours per Week | 10-Hour Shifts | Monday-Friday with Saturday sessions as needed
Weekend/Holiday Requirement: Every other weekend and holidays required
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join a busy Ambulatory Infusion Center in Jonesboro, GA. The ideal candidate will have experience administering chemotherapy and biologic infusions in an outpatient oncology setting while delivering exceptional, patient-centered care.
The RN will be responsible for safely administering chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and biologic treatments, monitoring patients throughout the infusion process, managing treatment-related reactions, and collaborating closely with the oncology care team to ensure the highest quality of care.
Key Responsibilities
  • Administer chemotherapy, biologic therapies, immunotherapy, and other prescribed infusion treatments.
  • Perform comprehensive patient assessments before, during, and after infusion therapy.
  • Monitor patients for adverse reactions and provide appropriate clinical interventions.
  • Verify physician orders, laboratory results, and treatment protocols before medication administration.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and post-treatment care.
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records.
  • Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and the multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care.
  • Follow all oncology nursing standards, infection prevention practices, and safety guidelines.
Floating Requirement
Candidates must be willing to float between all three Ambulatory Infusion Centers as needed:
  • SW
  • GW
  • TP
Required Qualifications
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Chemotherapy & Biologics Certification (Required).
  • Previous experience in an oncology infusion or ambulatory infusion setting.
  • Strong IV therapy, patient assessment, and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education abilities.
