JOB DUTIES Rivendell Behavioral Health Services of Arkansas is looking for a Registered Nurse (RN). This position is very imperative to our success at Rivendell.  The Registered Nurse (RN) performs a wide variety of patient care duties which include assisting in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician.  RN interviews patients, measuring vital signs, conducting patient rounds, administering medications, assessments, and procedures as directed by the physician. Documentation is done on a daily nursing note, and treatment planning is required, along with medication records and detoxification protocols.  The RN conducts prescribed treatments and medical interventions. Delegates as allowed under the Nurse Practice Act. Refers to and consults with physicians/psychiatrists and other health providers. RN Educates patients and families regarding health status, maintenance, and the management of acute/chronic psychiatric and medical conditions.  

The Registered Nurse (RN) operates in accordance with the competency guidelines and full scope of practice within the Rules and Regulations of Registered Nurses outlined by the Arkansas Board of Nursing and according to agency operating policies, protocols, and standards.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Must hold AR RN license or be license eligible.

Preferred experience in a pyschiatric setting with call center/intake experience.

CPR and Handle with Care/Verbal De-escalation offered upon hire. Mandatory certifications. Ability to work harmoniously and effectively with patients, families, visitors and staff. Must be able to work as a team with all staff/coworkers and maintain the ability to treat all patients with respect.
