Job description

A Warehouse Specialist I with Monarch Power Supply, the Western US Perkins Distributor, primarily works in the warehouse pulling parts and engines for orders and stocking freight onto shelves as inventory shipments arrive. The employee receives shipments, loads and unloads merchandise, and processes freight documents to ensure proper quantities, merchandise condition, and accurate inventory levels. This position also assists with cycle counting, core processing, warranty and return processing, and shipment preparation and coordination to support efficient warehouse and customer service operations.


Starting wage will depend on experience and education. $18.12- $22.50


Essential duties and responsibilities of a Monarch Warehouse Specialist includ the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) for all warehouse operations.
  • Process and prepare outgoing engine and parts shipments from various vendors including some international shipments.
  • Pull and deliver parts for service, upfit, walk in customers, other departments, and outgoing parts orders.
  • Receive, process and put away incoming shipments. Inspect for damage and follow SOP’s.
  • Breakdown cardboard and move to recycling.
  • Monitor inventory of shipping supplies.  Order and receive warehouse supplies as needed.
  • Perform physical cycle count, working with Parts Operations team to reduce lost stock.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Collect data needed for assisting freight claim process, working with service team to gather all needed information.  File and follow up on all freight claim submissions.
  • Complete Monarch forklift training.
  • Promote a safe work environment, while being vigilant in identifying and addressing safety concerns.
  • Perform daily equipment safety check.
  • Participate in daily morning safety stretches and safety programs.
  • Complete all assigned training in a timely manner.
  • Assist with service parts staging for technicians as needed.
  • Rotate stock and relocate to accommodate fluctuating inventory levels. Follow SOP for changing bin locations.
  • Follow and promote company values and follow expectations and rules in company handbook.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • 2+ years’ parts warehouse experience (engine or equivalent industry preferred).
  • Basic computer skills (MS Office, emails, typing, etc.).
  • Ability to process shipping/transactions in business system.  (UPS WorldShip experience preferred)
  • Ability to work well with a variety of personalities.
  • Excellent customer service.
  • Ability to process parts transactions in business system.
  • Ability to decipher shipping documents.
  • Ability to operate material handling equipment (forklift, pallet jack, standing lift, etc.).
  • Ability to decipher and understand part numbering systems for various vendors.
  • Ability to follow instructions.
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Good organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Good communication both written and verbal
