Job Summary
The Clinic Manager is a dynamic leader responsible for the strategic direction, operational oversight, and clinical coordination of one or more outpatient practices. This role partners with clinical leadership in a dyad model to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care, optimal staff performance, and efficient business operations. The Clinic Manager fosters a culture of excellence, equity, and collaboration, aligning with the health system's mission and values.
Responsibilities
Leadership & Operations
โ€ข Lead daily operations across administrative and clinical teams, including front desk, medical records, nursing, and ancillary services.
โ€ข Supervise and develop clinical and non-clinical staff, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, and training.
โ€ข Implement and maintain practice standards, workflows, and protocols to ensure consistent, safe, and efficient care delivery.
โ€ข Coordinate provider schedules and staffing levels to meet patient needs and financial goals.
โ€ข Prepare the clinic for provider transitions and support practice growth through strategic planning and marketing efforts.
Clinical Oversight
โ€ข Collaborate with providers and care teams to optimize patient care delivery and resource utilization.
โ€ข Ensure compliance with federal, state, and organizational regulations and accreditation standards.
โ€ข Support clinical triage, patient education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Financial & Strategic Management
โ€ข Monitor and manage clinic budgets, financial performance, and revenue cycle activities.
โ€ข Analyze operational metrics and develop action plans to improve outcomes.
โ€ข Partner with senior leadership on strategic initiatives, including productivity, compensation, and scheduling.
โ€ข Conduct audits and ensure compliance with billing, documentation, and financial policies.
Patient Experience & Engagement
โ€ข Act as a patient advocate and lead service recovery efforts.
โ€ข Monitor patient satisfaction data (e.g., CGCAHPS) and implement improvement strategies.
โ€ข Communicate regularly with staff and providers about goals, feedback, and performance metrics.
โ€ข Foster a wellness culture and inclusive environment for patients and staff.
