Job description

Job Title:Compounding Operator - 3rd ShiftSummary:To safely and efficiently perform cold mixing and milling utilizing multiple mechanical equipment to mix and mill high consistency silicone rubber to desired customer specifications.Responsibilities Include:

**This 3rd Shift position will start at $22.80 + $2.00 shift premium pay ($24.80 total starting pay) with Increases at 90 days, 6 months and 1 year**

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure that all safety equipment is readily available and that all guards are in place.
  • Refer to batch cards for proper amounts, temperature controls, weights and sequences of additions of raw materials and any other additional instructions, per procedure.
  • To operate multiple types of mixers, mills and extruders and other related equipment when required.
  • As directed, carry out any other tasks of equal or less difficulty.
  • Maintain work area in clean and orderly manner, drive Lean 5S Initiative throughout the facility with emphasis during shift transition.
  • Ability to work independently and multi-task.
  • Must be able to work irregular shifts and overtime to cover production demand as required.
  • Must be qualified to wear a respirator.

Non-Essential Functions:

  • To keep online production records on every batch mixed.
  • To receive and relay vital verbal communications with co-workers concerning daily production strategies.
  • To become knowledgeable of basic customer requirements and the equipment and materials used in mixing and milling.
Qualifications:

The following are required for the role

  • Perform arithmetic operations quickly, accurately, and possess eye-hand motor coordination.
  • Basic writing skills are required in the completion of daily production records.
  • Basic verbal communication skills are required to transfer or interpret the explanation of problems and to receive and understand work assignments.
  • Must be able to read and understand written instructions.
  • Must be able to stand for a 8.5-hour shift.
  • Must be able to read, understand, and speak English
  • Must have a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background and pre-employment drug test that includes marijuana.
