What You'll Do:
As a Molding Injection Process Technician, you'll be part of our team located in Mission, TX. You'll get to:
  • Perform a wide range of duties to install, set up and maintain production machines and facility equipment.
  • Support daily molding operations to assist with work tasks as needed.
  • Install and remove molding dies from machines, including auxiliary equipment and automation systems.
  • Set and adjust process conditions for initial machines runs to ensure quality and production targets are met.
  • Make process adjustments as required to maintain consistent quality and production levels.
  • Perform minor cleaning and adjustments on molding dies, auxiliary equipment, and automation systems.
  • Conduct preventive and minor maintenance on molding machines.
  • Monitor and accurately document process conditions ensuring records are up to date.
  • Maintain set up equipment and supplies in an organized and orderly manner.
  • Drive Continuous improvement initiatives focused on defect prevention and reduction of variation and waste.
  • Stop production as necessary to address quality issues, document findings and adjustments in designated logs.
  • Collaborate with Quality department to improve process control and resolve quality concerns.
  • Troubleshooting processing problems, including making normal adjustments and performing routine checks.
  • Verify process parameters and set up machines according to set up sheets.
  • Address and resolve scrap issues promptly.
  • Assist the Process Engineer in keeping the operations running smoothly.
  • Enforce safety guidelines and company standards at all times.
  • Perform all work in accordance with established quality standards and safety procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and healthy work environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.

Who You Are:

  • High School Diploma/GED required; associate's degree in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance recommended.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as Injection Molding Process Technician.
  • Experience in manufacturing environment with hands-on experience in technical processes; with strong skills in hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical and electronic skills.
  • Scientific injection molding is a plus.
  • Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and/or Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
  • Flexible schedule; must be able to work overtime and rotate between shifts as necessary.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
  • Proactive to anticipate and resolve problems.
  • High attention to detail and strong self-motivation
