Key Responsibilities
- Build, assemble, maintain, and repair plastic injection molds
- Assemble molds per engineering drawings and production schedules
- Fit, function, and spot mold components to close tolerances
- Install, test, and troubleshoot hot runner and cold runner systems
- Disassemble molds for repair, modification, or maintenance
- Operate overhead cranes and forklifts to relocate molds
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
- Follow all safety procedures, company policies, ISO, and OSHA standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Experience LevelsApprentice Mold Maker (Entry–2 Years)
- Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
- Assist with mold assembly, disassembly, and maintenance
- Training provided
Journeyman Mold Maker (3–7 Years)
- Independent mold assembly and repair experience
- Ability to read blueprints and work to tight tolerances
- Troubleshooting and hot runner experience preferred
Senior Mold Maker (8+ Years)
- Advanced plastic injection mold making experience
- Lead complex mold builds and repairs
- Mentor apprentices and journeyman mold makers
Skills amp; Qualifications
- Experience in plastic injection mold making (level-dependent)
- Strong attention to detail and precision
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Good communication skills and professional attitude
- Ownership of hand tools, grinding tools, and measuring instruments
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing 1–75 lbs
- Ability to stand for extended periods
- Ability to climb ladders and equipment
Work Location
✔ Onsite only – Pulaski, TN. Relocation required for out-of-area candidates (relocation costs not covered by employer; flexible start date available to accommodate moving).
