We have a new GCP Cloud Engineer opening with our client in Wilmington, DE - MUST be onsite for hybrid 3 days/week (that is the challenge).
Length: 6-month CTH
US Work Status: Preferably US Citizens and GC holders
Location: 3 days onsite weekly in Wilmington, DE
Required Skills:
• 4+ years of hands-on experience operating Google Cloud Platform (GCP) in production, including services such as Cloud Run, GKE, VPC networking, and Secret Manager.
• 2+ years of experience designing and governing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, including reusable module development and organizational standards.
• Demonstrated experience owning CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for cloud-native workloads.
• Need the architecture experience
• Deep technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform, including networking, IAM, Cloud Run, GKE, security controls, and observability.
• Strong understanding of enterprise cloud security, segmentation, and blast-radius reduction strategies.
• Expert-level Terraform proficiency, including state management, module versioning, and GitOps-based workflows.
• Ability to confidently challenge designs, push back on stakeholders when needed, and defend technical decisions in security- and compliance-sensitive environments.
• Advanced troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across cloud, network, and identity domains.
BONUS
  • Any level of Azure experience would be a huge plus
  • Someone who is strong in both Azure and GCP would be their perfect candidate
  • Some security knowledge would be a nice to have
  • GCP Associate Cloud Engineer or Professional Cloud Architect certification (required).
• Terraform Associate or equivalent infrastructure-as-code certification (required).
• Microsoft Azure Administrator or Solutions Architect certification (preferred; secondary platform).
