Uses in-depth product knowledge to provide technical expertise to sales staff and the customer through sales presentations and product demonstrations. Grows technical relationship with customer. Assists the sales staff in assessing potential application of company products to meet customer needs and may prepare detailed product specifications for the development and implementation of customer products/applications/solutions. May create detailed design and implementation specifications for complex products/applications/solutions. May build a mini application based on customer requirements to demonstrate feasibility of the application, often requiring rapid prototyping and/or product demo for client. May provide consultation to prospective users and/or product capability assessment and validation**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:*** Negotiate technical specifications and performance trade-offs with customers that will satisfy their system and module needs; promoting Lumentum product preferences at targeted customers.* Participate in customer design reviews and contribute to the technical response to RFI/RFQs.* Work closely with sales and directly with customers to collect customerโ€™s requirement and application use cases.* Work directly with targeted customers to bring up transceiver modules at customer sites, troubleshoot customer prototypes, and develop solutions that support end-user applications, resulting in successful design-in of our products.* Develop and manage primary customer product documentation which can include corrective actions, analysis reports, manufacturing test plans, performance improvement plans, reliability qualification plans and reports.* Manage Product Change Notification process (PCN) with customers and engineering* Participation in critical Failure Analysis, Corrective Action & Lessons Learned activities**ESSENTIAL REQUIRMENTS:**This individual must be motivated and should enjoy working in an open, rapidly changing, communicative and team-oriented environment.
