Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced ServiceNow ITAM Developer with strong expertise in Hardware Asset Management (HAM) and Software Asset Management (SAM) modules. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and configure ITAM solutions, manage asset lifecycle processes, and integrate ServiceNow with enterprise systems to ensure compliance, accuracy, and operational efficiency.
This role requires deep technical proficiency in ServiceNow scripting, integrations, and asset governance within large-scale enterprise environments.
Key Responsibilities
Development & Configuration
  • Design, develop, and configure ServiceNow ITAM modules (HAM & SAM Professional).
  • Configure Hardware Asset Workspace, Software Asset Workspace, Flow Designer, Business Rules, UI Policies, and Script Includes.
  • Customize asset lifecycle workflows to align with enterprise processes.
Asset Lifecycle Management
  • Manage end-to-end asset lifecycle processes including procurement, receipt, deployment, maintenance, and retirement.
  • Implement and optimize asset governance standards and controls.
Integration & Data Management
  • Integrate ITAM with CMDB, ITSM, Discovery, and external systems.
  • Build integrations with third-party tools such as SCCM, Jamf, Microsoft 365, and AWS.
  • Ensure CMDB data accuracy and integrity across environments.
Compliance & Reporting
  • Configure SAM features, normalization rules, and license compliance processes.
  • Develop dashboards and executive reports for asset utilization, spend analysis, and compliance tracking.
Technical Implementation
  • Develop solutions using JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting (Business Rules, Client Scripts, Script Includes).
  • Build and support integrations using REST/SOAP web services.
  • Support ServiceNow Discovery and CMDB data governance.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow development and configuration, with strong focus on ITAM (HAM & SAM).
  • Proven expertise in ServiceNow SAM Professional and HAM Professional.
  • Strong knowledge of JavaScript and ServiceNow scripting frameworks.
  • Experience integrating ServiceNow with enterprise systems and cloud platforms.
  • Experience with CMDB configuration and Discovery tools.
  • Solid understanding of ITIL processes and asset governance best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified ServiceNow System Administrator (CSA).
  • Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS-SAM or CIS-HAM).
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise IT environments.
