We are seeking a highly motivated Senior Risk & Portfolio Manager to join our team. This position will be based in our Woodstock, GA office and will be an important part of our growing team.

This role is responsible for assessing, structuring and approving complex and higher-value transactions, monitoring portfolio performance, identifying emerging risks, and providing recommendations that support sound credit decisions while enabling responsible business growth.

The role partners closely with Sales, Underwriting, Operations and Executive Management throughout the client lifecycle from initial underwriting through ongoing portfolio management, acting as a subject matter expert on credit risk, collateral quality, facility structure and policy.

The position also undertakes client visits and field examinations where appropriate to validate collateral, operational processes and ongoing facility performance.

The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced, growth-focused environment and has a proven ability to build structure, improve processes, develop talent, and motivate teams to exceed ambitious performance goals. They will work closely with the senior leadership team and other internal departments to ensure consistent deal management, timely follow-up execution, to deliver effective oversight.

This role requires a highly organized and proactive leader with strong operational discipline, excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively balance coaching, accountability, reporting, and team development while maintaining a positive and high-energy culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite and structure complex credit facilities.
  • Monitor portfolio performance, collateral quality, and client risk.
  • Lead portfolio reviews and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct field examinations and collateral audits.
  • Review debtor exposures, credit limits, and collections trends.
  • Support policy development, compliance, and risk governance initiatives.
  • Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentorship to underwriting and operations teams.
  • Partner with Sales, Operations, and Executive Leadership to support sound credit decisions and business growth.

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of commercial underwriting, factoring, or asset-based lending experience.
  • 3+ years conducting field examinations and collateral audits.
  • Strong knowledge of transportation, staffing, manufacturing, and distribution industries.
  • Experience with credit insurance and complex credit structures.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred.
  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
