Responsibilities
Strategic Technology Consulting (STC), an Arcfield Company, is seeking a seasoned Model Based Systems Engineer and Configuration Manager to manage the content generation, configuration management, and data management for innovative Range Safety solutions for Major Range and Test Facility Bases (MRTFBs). This remote role requires excellent oral and written communications, experience in technical writing of design documentation, and organized maintenance of the solution hardware and software configuration.
Responsibilities:
  • Design and integrate range safety solutions into MRTFB and flight test vehicle architectures using MBSE methodologies.
  • Develop and manage system requirements throughout the lifecycle, ensuring traceability, verification, and compliance with program objectives.
  • Provide expertise in open systems standards, mission engineering, software design, all as part of an integrated digital approach.
  • Apply mission engineering principles to optimize and analyze system and subsystem performance across diverse platforms and operational environments.
  • Collaborate with mission engineers, platform architects, and government stakeholders to translate operational needs into executable system architectures and integrated technical solutions.
  • Leverage product lifecycle management tools to manage the configuration of the range safety solutions throughout the lifecycle of the product and integrated with the system modeling effort.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • BS 5-7, MS 3-5, PhD 0-2 (Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical discipline (Master's degree preferred)).
  • 5+ years of relevant systems engineering experience, with demonstrated range safety knowledge.
  • Experience working with data/file structures and product lifecycle management (PLM) tools to manage the hardware and software configuration of engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with MRTFB range safety standards and regulations including Range Commanders Council (RCC) requirements.
  • Knowledgeable about MRTFB operations and flight test practices for intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing government and inter-team relationships.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Must possess and maintain a Secret clearance.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
