Director of Physical Therapy

Job Description

An outpatient clinic in Winchester, VA is hiring a full-time Director of Physical Therapy.

This role is designed for a physical therapist who enjoys hands-on outpatient care and the independence to manage patients from evaluation through discharge. You will provide one-on-one treatment, use your clinical judgment to guide care, and support patients through personalized treatment plans that include manual therapy, exercise, education, and active rehabilitation.

You will also play a key role in helping a newer clinic continue to grow and serve the local community.

Job Details

Location: Winchester, VA
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-5:00 PM
Hours: 40 hours per week
Patient Volume: Approximately 12 visits per 8-hour day

Responsibilities

  • Provide one-on-one evaluations and treatment sessions
  • Manage patients from evaluation through discharge
  • Treat athletes, children, adults, and active patients
  • Use hands-on care, exercise, education, and gym-based rehab
  • Perform manipulation, mobilization, cupping, soft tissue work, instrument-assisted massage, and dry needling when appropriate
  • Create individualized treatment plans
  • Complete documentation through Athena Health
  • Work independently without on-site aides or technicians
  • Support clinic growth through patient care and local outreach

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Active Physical Therapist license required
  • Outpatient physical therapy background preferred
  • Strong interest in manual therapy and active rehab
  • Comfortable working independently
  • Willingness to help build a caseload
  • Clear communication skills
