As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Active Mobility PT, you will be responsible for:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients referred by physicians, developing tailored treatment plans that address individual needs.
• Performing hands-on therapy techniques and utilizing advanced modalities to reduce pain and promote healing.
• Collaborating with healthcare professionals, including orthopedic surgeons and rehabilitation specialists, to optimize patient care strategies.
• Implementing rehabilitation protocols for various conditions, including post-surgical recovery, sports injuries, and chronic pain management.
• Providing education and guidance to patients and their families around exercises and recovery strategies to encourage independence.
• Documenting patient progress accurately and consistently to align with treatment goals and utilization metrics.
• Meeting and exceeding minimum utilization targets and contributing to business objectives through patient engagement.

Your expertise will cater to a diverse range of patients, primarily focusing on orthopedic cases, including those recovering from surgeries, sports injuries, and musculoskeletal disorders. You will also have the opportunity to work with pediatric and neurologic populations, allowing you to use your skills across a variety of therapeutic scenarios. This broad exposure enhances your experience and enables you to improve outcomes across different client demographics.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved institution.
• A current state license in Physical Therapy for Virginia.
• Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills, coupled with effective word processing and computer skills.
• An ability to establish and nurture meaningful relationships with patients, enhancing their experience and promoting their success in meeting therapy goals.
• A proactive approach to building community relations and engaging with local health initiatives.

Candidates with experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, sports medicine, or working within a rehabilitation facility will find themselves well-prepared for this role. Familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities and a background in collaborating with interdisciplinary teams in a healthcare setting will be considered advantageous.
