Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Active Mobility PT, you will:

  • Conduct thorough evaluations of patients referred by physicians, accurately assessing their physical needs and pain levels.
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans that cater to each patient's unique condition, integrating therapeutic techniques to maximize recovery.
  • Utilize evidence-based care methodologies, ensuring that your treatments are grounded in the latest clinical research.
  • Work alongside a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes, leveraging the expertise of allied health professionals when necessary.
  • Educate and train patients and their caregivers on in-home care strategies to facilitate optimal healing and prevent re-injury.
  • Consistently meet minimum utilization goals while maintaining high standards of clinical care.
  • Provide excellent customer service, ensuring a positive experience for patients and their families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily treat orthopedic patients, which may include individuals recovering from surgery, sports injuries, or chronic pain conditions. Our diverse client base also encompasses pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine patients, allowing for a fulfilling mix of caseloads and treatment approaches.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an APTA or CAPTE-approved program.
  • A valid State License in Physical Therapy to practice in Virginia.
  • Basic Life Support Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, facilitating effective interactions with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in word processing and basic computer skills.
Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following will enhance your application:

  • Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting.
  • Advanced certifications in specialized treatment techniques (e.g., manual therapy, sports rehabilitation).
  • A demonstrated track record of fostering strong patient relationships and community connections.
