Job description

Job Title: Mobile Unit Operator
Reports to: Area Manager
Position Classification: Non-exempt
Location: Mobile
Wage range: $19 - $20 per hour
Monday - Thursday 4-10 hours a day!
Primary Objectives of Position: Driver will provide Extreme Customer Service for the Mobile Workforce Services Unit. Ensure customer flow is followed according to designated workflows and initiate assignments accordingly. Responsible for quality assurance of specific customer activities.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Paperwork must be properly completed at the end of each day and compiled into a report that is due each month.
  • Ensure a calm and professional mobile unit environment by offering information about the unit, current Workforce activities, employment opportunities. Ensure that all applicable brochures, postings and notifications are up-to-date and displayed properly.
  • Equipment must be kept in working order and any failures reported in a timely
  • Assist customers in Work in Texas (WIT) registration and applications for employment, and help customers develop a professional resume when needed.
  • Provide backup coverage in other customer service areas as needed to aid in greeting all visitors in a kind and courteous manner, aiding new customers with preliminary guidance on accessing services and assisting existing customers with relevant and current information.
  • Assist the Career Navigator with intake by collecting required
  • Accurately document customer interactions through well-written case notes for job
  • Responsible for scheduling and communicating the activity of the mobile unit to internal and external customers
  • Initiate accurate industry sector assignments of career seekers to the defined standard based on their work experience, skills, and desired area of career development. This work should be executed by utilizing interviewing, coaching/training, labor market information, and recruiting

Qualifications: CDL required. Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record, no preventable accidents in the last 3 years.
Additional Requirements: Must have valid driver's license and adequate vehicle insurance coverage.
