Veterinary Technician - Surgery
Location: Mt. Laurel, NJ
Schedule: 4-day work week - more time for you, less burnout for all!
Are you an experienced veterinary technician who lives for the OR? Does monitoring anesthesia make you feel more focused than your morning coffee? If you're passionate about surgery, love a fast-paced environment, and want to be part of a collaborative and compassionate team - you might be exactly who we're looking for!
At HousePaws Mount Laurel, we do things a little differently. We started as a mobile practice and grew into a full-service hospital because our clients (and their pets!) couldn't get enough of us. Now we offer top-notch traditional and integrative medicine, from surgeries and dental care to acupuncture and chiropractic services.
The Role:
You'll be the right-hand person to our veterinarians during surgery - monitoring anesthesia, prepping patients, assisting in procedures, and making sure every furry patient is comfortable, safe, and well cared for. You'll also put your skills to use with:
  • Pain management & patient recovery
  • IV catheter placement & venipuncture
  • Surgical prep & instrument sterilization
  • Dental cleanings & radiology
  • Pre- and post-op client communication
What We're Looking For:
  • At least 2 years of veterinary technician experience (surgery experience a big plus!)
  • Skilled with anesthesia and surgical monitoring
  • Confident, calm, and compassionate - especially during surgical discharges
  • A team player who brings positive vibes and supports their crew
