Based in Franklin, Tennessee and serving Franklin, Spring Hill, Brentwood, and nearby communities, the company specializes in maintenance, diagnostics, brakes, batteries, starters, alternators, and a wide range of repairs for a wide variety of vehicles. Founded by a husband-and-wife team, TyParts focuses on safety, convenience, and transparent communication. Role Description The Mobile Mechanic is a full-time role, serving customers in Franklin and the surrounding areas. In this position, the Mobile Mechanic travels to customer locations to perform vehicle inspections, diagnostics, routine maintenance, and repairs on a variety of vehicles, including passenger cars, light trucks, and specialty vehicles. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, completing brake, battery, starter, alternator, and suspension work, and documenting services performed with clear notes and recommendations. The role also involves communicating directly with customers to explain findings, provide estimates, and offer guidance on preventive maintenance, while upholding TyParts’ standards for safety, professionalism, and punctuality. The Mobile Mechanic is expected to maintain tools and service vehicles in good working order, follow all safety protocols, and collaborate with the team to support scheduling and high-quality service delivery.


Qualifications

  • 3+ years in general vehicle maintenance and maintenance & repair across common automotive systems.
  • Experience with preventive maintenance practices, including routine inspections and service schedules.
  • Ability to work with heavy equipment and vehicle components safely and efficiently.
  • Proficient troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and diagnostic issues.
  • Relevant automotive certifications (e.g., ASE) or formal training in automotive technology preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to travel to customer locations.
  • Comfort using diagnostic tools, service software, and mobile devices to record and communicate work.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills, with the ability to work independently in the field.
  • Ability to lift and move automotive parts and equipment as needed and adhere to all safety procedures.
