Description

American Traveler is hiring a Mammography Technologist requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT/NV state licensure to provide diagnostic mammography services in a fast-paced Level 2 trauma center.

Details
  • Work in the Imaging/Breast Center department of a busy Level 2 trauma center serving a 500-mile radius
  • Serve adult and geriatric patient populations
  • 5x8-hour shifts, Monday through Friday, with rotating shift times of 7:30-3, 7:30-4, and 8-4:30
  • No call requirements
  • May float to other areas within clinical competency as needed
  • Schedule may include weekends, holidays, and some call shifts based on department needs
  • Uses Epic for charting
Requirements
  • ARRT certification and NV state license required prior to start date (license required if applicable)
  • BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of Mammography Technologist experience required
  • At least one prior 13-week travel assignment required
  • Proficient in operating mammography equipment and hospital/department computer systems
  • Must be able to provide age-specific care to adult and geriatric patients
Additional Information
  • Produce diagnostic mammograms and assist radiologists and referring physicians with mammographic procedures
  • Work under the supervision of the Breast Center manager
  • Make technical decisions to ensure optimal mammographic image quality
  • Required to work 2-3 major holidays and pick up one additional shift during the schedule period
  • Facility may cancel shifts with 48 hours notice for low census, which may include full or partial shifts
  • First-time travelers are not eligible for this assignment
  • Returning employees must have a 13-week break after ending a prior contract
  • No blocked scheduling permitted
  • RTO must be submitted with candidate profile prior to assignment start
  • Candidates must live 60+ miles from the facility; local candidates are not accepted
  • Only AHA-issued certifications are accepted
