Job description

Dick’s Canby Ford is hiring a motivated and independent Mobile Service Technician to join our growing Ford service department. This position is ideal for an experienced Automotive Technician / Auto Mechanic who enjoys working independently while delivering dealership-quality service directly to customers at their homes or workplaces.

As a Mobile Technician, you will operate a fully equipped Ford Mobile Service van and perform routine maintenance, light repairs, and recall services while providing an exceptional customer experience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to customer homes and workplaces in a company-provided mobile service van

  • Perform basic maintenance, light repairs, and recall services according to repair orders

  • Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Dick’s Canby Ford professionally in the community

  • Organize daily appointments and manage time effectively

  • Communicate regularly with the Mobile Service Coordinator, Parts Department, and management

  • Accurately document all services and repairs performed

  • Stay current with Ford technical bulletins and required manufacturer training

  • Maintain and safely operate the company service vehicle

  • Work outdoors and occasionally in varying weather conditions


Qualifications
  • B-Level Automotive Technician skills or higher preferred

  • Prior Service Technician or Dealership Technician experience preferred

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong diagnostic and basic repair skills

  • Comfortable using tablets and mobile technology for repair orders and communication

  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

  • Ford certifications preferred but not required

  • Ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform physical tasks

  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Professional, customer-first attitude
