Job description

The Mobile Technician is responsible for delivering highquality automotive maintenance and light repair services directly to customers through GM MobileService+. This role operates a fully equipped dealershipowned mobile service vehicle and performs approved services at customer homes, workplaces, or other offsite locations. The Mobile Technician ensures a premium customer experience while maintaining GM and dealership service standards.
 
JOB TITLE:           Mobile Technician
REPORTS TO:     Service Manager
LOCATION:         Loveland, OH
 
A SHORT LIST OF YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:    
 
  • Perform GM MobileService+ approved maintenance and light repair services, including but not limited to:
    • Oil and filter changes
    • Tire rotation and tire repair
    • Battery testing and replacement
    • Multipoint vehicle inspections
    • Wiper blade replacement
    • Cabin and engine air filter replacement
  • Recall and minor warranty work as authorized
  • Operate and maintain a mobile service vehicle, tools, diagnostic equipment, and inventory
  • Follow GM repair procedures, service bulletins, and safety guidelines
  • Complete accurate repair orders, inspections, and documentation using dealership DMS and mobile service apps
  • Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings, recommendations, and next steps
  • Represent the dealership professionally at all customer locations
  • Ensure cleanliness, organization, and proper stocking of the mobile service vehicle
  • Adhere to scheduled appointments and manage time efficiently throughout the service route
  • Escalate complex repair needs to the dealership service department
  • Maintain compliance with dealership policies, GM standards, and local/state regulations
                                                                                                                                                                        
WE’RE LOOKING FOR A SELF-STARTER WHO MEETS THE FOLLOWING QUALIFICATIONS:
 
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Prior automotive maintenance or technician experience (1–2 years preferred)
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile/offsite environment
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in various outdoor condition
Preferred Qualifications
  • GM Certified Technician (or willingness to obtain certification)
  • ASE Certification(s)
  • Experience using dealership DMS systems (e.g., CDK, Reynolds & Reynolds)
  • Previous mobile service or field technician experience
  • Basic diagnostic skills using GM scan tools
Tools & Equipment
  • GM and dealershipsupplied mobile service vehicle
  • Mobile tablet or device provided for work orders and customer communication
Work Environment
  • Offsite customer locations including homes, offices, and commercial properties
  • Exposure to varying weather conditions
  • Independent fieldwork with regular communication with dealership service leadership
