Mobile Service Technician


About the Job

Sames McAllen Ford is seeking a Mobile Service Technician to join our growing service team. This role is ideal for someone who is self-sufficient, dependable, and has a solid background in automotive repair. Technicians will travel in a dealership-provided Mobile Service van to complete basic services, recalls, and light repairs at customer homes and workplaces. ASE certifications and B-level qualifications are preferred, though not required.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver a positive and professional customer experience during every service visit

  • Travel to customer locations to perform routine maintenance and recall work

  • Prepare for daily appointments and manage time effectively

  • Accurately complete repair orders and service documentation

  • Communicate consistently with the Mobile Service Coordinator, Parts Department, and Service Management

  • Perform maintenance and light repairs efficiently and in accordance with dealership and Ford guidelines

  • Stay current on Ford technical updates and complete ongoing training

  • Safely operate and maintain the assigned Mobile Service van

  • Adapt to varying weather conditions and on-site service environments


Qualifications

  • B-level technician skills preferred

  • 2+ years of service technician experience a plus

  • ASE and/or Ford certifications strongly preferred but not required

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

  • Capable of using tablets and other digital tools for diagnostics and documentation

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean record

  • Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform service-related tasks
