Job description


The Mobile Applications Developer II is responsible for the development and maintenance of our suite of mobile applications. They will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deliver high-quality mobile applications. The candidate should have experience in developing applications for iOS and/or Android platforms. They should be able to work independently and as part of a team.
This position will serve Rheem North America, located in Roswell, GA (Hybrid). This role follows our hybrid work arrangement, with team members working in the office Monday through Thursday and remotely on Fridays.
Responsibilities
  • Design and develop mobile applications for the Android and/or iOS platforms
  • Develop and improve software architecture, testing strategies, developer tooling, and UX for our mobile applications
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features
  • Work with product managers and QA to support validation activities
  • Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications
  • Participate in code reviews to maintain code quality
  • Continuously discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
  • Participate in the development of technical documentation
  • Works under some supervision of department leadership with independence on projects in scope.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications
  • An innovative solution-first spirit and an ability to think creatively
  • 3+ years of experience in mobile apps development
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent training and experience
  • Proficient in Swift and/or Kotlin
  • Experience with modern mobile app development frameworks (e.g., SwiftUI, Jetpack Compose)
  • Understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and Scrum
  • Experience with version control systems such as Git
  • Excellent problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong critical thinking skills, and a keen attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team (e.g., product managers, engineers, business teams) and external subject matter experts
  • Demonstrated ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Experience with LLM coding agents

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or other cross-platform mobile app development frameworks
  • Experience with cloud technologies and services such as AWS, Azure, or Firebase
  • Experience with IOT and smart connected products (Bluetooth and Wi-Fi APIs)
  • Experience with mobile app security best practices
  • Experience with mobile app analytics
  • Experience with testing frameworks
  • HVAC / Water Heating industry experience
