Operating Room Registered Nurse

Job Title: Operating Room Registered Nurse

Profession: Registered Nurse

Specialty: Operating Room

Duration: 13 weeks

Shift: Day

Hours per Shift: 10 hours

Experience: 4+ years

License: South Carolina license or Compact license required

Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS

Must-Have:

  • Strong knowledge and skills in operating room procedures
  • Ability to float between units as needed
  • Experience with a wide range of surgical procedures

Description: Will work day shift in the Operating Room. Weekend requirements vary, typically every fourth weekend with weekday coverage. On-call responsibilities are required, but not every weekday. Call requirements may change based on staffing needs. Candidate must have a minimum of 4 years of experience. First-time travelers are not accepted for this position. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required prior to start. The facility utilizes Epic for charting. Travelers should be aware of potential emergency response assignment during hurricane season. All required time off must be included at the time of submission. Facility allows a maximum of 1 shift to be called off every 2 weeks. Travelers may be required to float to meet facility needs. No assignment is to be confirmed during hurricane season if it's a problem for the candidate.
