The New Nurse Graduate provides specialized nursing care at one of DCI’s in-center hemodialysis or hospital services units as part of a patient care team. Our RNs are integral in ensuring safe care and the highest quality outcomes are prioritized for every patient.

In-Center RNs have Sundays off; no overnight shifts.   

Schedule: Potential fulltime shifts vary from four 10-hour shifts or three 12-hour shifts and are set upon hiring.

What You Can Expect:

  • DCI provides a 3-month comprehensive education program, including classroom group sessions, job shadowing, and one-on-one skills training
  • Monitor patients during dialysis, assessing and communicating changes with physician and families
  • Prepare dialysis machine and treatment supplies and ensure quality standards are met
  • Perform hemodialysis treatments per facility policies and procedures
  • Ongoing patient education, training and health coaching, including relevant documentation
  • Administer and chart all prescribed medications under supervision of registered nurse
  • Participate in patient care conferences, rounds and chart reviews
  • Facilitate continuity of care with local hospitals
  • Assist in medication inventory maintenance
  • Contribute to training new staff members as directed
  • Additional tasks as requested
