Mobile Application Developer (Kotlin Primary)

Location: Westlake, Texas / Durham, North Carolina (Hybrid)

Role Summary

We are seeking a talented Mobile Application Developer with strong expertise in Kotlin and Android application development as the primary skill, along with working knowledge of Swift and iOS development as a secondary skill. The ideal candidate will be responsible for building scalable, user-friendly, and high-performance mobile applications while supporting cross-platform mobile initiatives.

Day to Day job Duties
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin.
  • Build clean, scalable, and maintainable mobile solutions following Android best practices.
  • Integrate RESTful APIs, third-party SDKs, and backend services.
  • Develop responsive and intuitive mobile user interfaces.
  • Optimize applications for performance, security, and reliability.
  • Implement unit testing, debugging, and troubleshooting for Android applications.
  • Collaborate with UI/UX designers, backend developers, and product teams.
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies, code reviews, and release planning.
Basic Qualifications
  • 8+ years’ experience in Kotlin and/or Android application development
  • 8+ years’ experience with Android SDK, Android Studio, and/or Jetpack components
  • 8+ years’ experience in REST API integration and/or JSON handling
  • 8+ years’ experience with local storage solutions such as Room, SQLite, or SharedPreferences
Preferred Qualifications
  • Working knowledge of Swift and iOS development
  • Familiarity with UIKit and/or SwiftUI
  • Understanding of iOS application lifecycle and development fundamentals
