Job description

Description:Position Summary

Quest CE is seeking a talented Full-Stack Developer with a strong front-end focus to join our Stack Overhaul team as we continue modernizing our core technology platform.

This role will primarily support the front-end side of our modernization initiative, helping build clean, intuitive, responsive, and efficient user experiences using Svelte, SvelteKit, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.

While this is a full-stack development role, our strongest need is someone who cares deeply about how users interact with software every day, someone who can help turn complex business workflows into clear, thoughtful, and user-friendly experiences.

The ideal candidate will have strong front-end instincts, understand modern JavaScript application structure, and be comfortable collaborating across the full stack with Django, APIs, and relational data systems.

This is a high-impact opportunity to contribute directly to a strategic modernization initiative that will shape the future of Quest CEโ€™s platform.

We are actively modernizing our core platform and investing in scalable architecture, improved workflows, and better long-term development practices. Our Stack Overhaul team is responsible for helping build the next generation of Quest CEโ€™s applications and user experiences.

We offer a hybrid work environment, with initial onsite training followed by the flexibility to work both remotely and in the office, along with designated in-office collaboration days.

In addition to competitive compensation, we provide comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, and vision coverage, HSA options, 401(k) match, professional development opportunities, tuition reimbursement, and a supportive, growth-oriented culture.

  • Create responsive, intuitive, and user-friendly interfaces.
  • Build and maintain modern front-end features using Svelte, SvelteKit, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Tailwind CSS.
  • Improve workflow clarity, layout consistency, navigation, and overall usability across the platform.
  • Translate business requirements and user feedback into practical front-end solutions.
  • Help modernize legacy workflows into cleaner, faster, and more efficient application experiences.
  • Contribute to reusable UI components and shared front-end standards.
Full-Stack CollaborationWork with API-driven services built using Django and Django REST Framework.
  • Collaborate closely with back-end developers to integrate application data, permissions, and business logic into the user experience.
  • Participate in code reviews, testing, QA support, and development planning.
  • Help troubleshoot browser behavior, client-side bugs, DOM interactions, and styling inconsistencies.
Team & Product Impact
  • Identify opportunities to simplify and improve the user experience.
  • Write clean, maintainable, scalable code.
  • Contribute to a collaborative development culture focused on quality, usability, and long-term maintainability.
Requirements:

  • Strong proficiency with JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and modern front-end development practices.
  • Experience with Svelte/SvelteKit or a comparable modern JavaScript framework.
  • Experience building responsive, component-based user interfaces.
  • Strong understanding of browser behavior, DOM interaction, front-end state, and modern UI patterns.
  • Experience with Tailwind CSS or a similar utility-first CSS framework.
  • Familiarity with API-driven application development.
  • Working knowledge of back-end development concepts.
  • Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
  • Commitment to writing clean, readable, maintainable code.

Preferred

  • Experience with Django and Django REST Framework.

  • Experience with accessibility, usability, and front-end performance best practices.
  • Experience building internal tools, dashboards, forms, or workflow-heavy business applications.
  • Experience within SaaS, compliance technology, financial services, or enterprise software environments.

The ideal candidate is a front-end strong developer who enjoys improving how software feels and functions for users.

You should enjoy taking complicated workflows and making them cleaner, easier to understand, and more efficient. You should be comfortable collaborating across teams, working through ambiguity, and contributing to a modernization effort focused not just on rebuilding technology, but improving the overall user experience.

We recognize that great candidates may not check every box. If youโ€™re excited about modern front-end development, thoughtful user experiences, and helping shape the future of a platform, we encourage you to apply.
