A day in the life.

The Regional Technical Trainer โ€“ EH&B is responsible for managing the Employee Health & Benefits (EH&B) technical training program for MMA FL. Work closely with the SVP, EHB as well as the Talent Development COE team to achieve MMA's strategic learning and development goals. The EH&B Technical Trainer will design, implement & monitor the EH&B technical training program and oversee the implementation of various initiatives as defined with MMA's strategic plan. Confer with and actively engages the management team and keeps leadership informed of significant matters where oversight is essential.

As our Regional Technical Trainer on the Employee Benefits team, you'll

  • Collaborate with local managers to understand, develop, and execute on the EH&B Training Program. Goal is to get service team 'desk-ready'.
  • Leverage & Improve foundational curriculum for new hire onboarding and ongoing training support.
  • Develop training content for new and existing colleagues for system functionality, best practices, etc. to support EH&B systems (AMS, document management), tools (Playbook, etc.), and services (iNGAGED, Broker Transparency, etc.)
  • Be able to perform the service team role at a high level.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to users to ensure continuous improvement of training on technical knowledge to include new and refresher courses, intermediate & advanced topics.
  • Collaborate with Operations to test EH&B workflow processes & procedures and develop training materials as they get added to MMA Playbook.
  • Collaborate with managers to fully understand technical skill gaps, work flows & processes and individual knowledge deficits and training needs.
  • Partner with business leaders and the Talent Management COE team to identify resources available to support learning & training needs.
  • Represent the FL region on the MMA U โ€“ EH&B Workgroup.
  • Measure MMA's colleague results by monitoring progress towards goals and objectives; instituting methods for continuous improvement in key areas, modifying training plans as needed; measuring the effectiveness of training programs.
  • Confer with and actively engages management and leadership. Keeps leaders effectively informed of all significant matters involving the Company, appropriately consults in matters where their oversight is essential or their insight is helpful.
  • Provide general direction to assure compliance with insurance regulation and other laws; keeps informed of any new legislation that may impact the business; and establishes overall policy for effective representation of the Company.
