COMPANY: Since 1988, Goose Island Beer Co., Chicago's original craft brewery, has been shaping the craft beer scene here in Chicago and beyond. We have opened our new brewpub location next to the Salt Shed - an exciting waterfront dining and entertainment destination! The Goose Island Pub at the Salt Shed will offer a unique beer and culinary experience with a skyline-backed riverfront patio, alongside Chicago's best new music venue, which hosts 200+ concerts and events each year. We pride ourselves on delivering exceptional service and high-quality dishes and are seeking talented new members to contribute to the success of our new location. This is an exciting new opportunity to play a pivotal role in the culinary operations of our establishment.

Currently we are looking for professional dishwashers to clean and maintain the dishes as well as the kitchen. Dishwashers will also check in and put away food in a timely fashion. A successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining a clean kitchen.

Responsibilities

  • Carrying out basic cleaning tasks as fast as possible

  • Collecting and washing up pots and pans

  • Cleaning crockery and cutlery

  • Ensuring food preparation sites are clean and ready

  • Unloading and checking in equipment and food from deliveries

  • Ensuring the storeroom remains organized

  • Making sure work surfaces, floors and walls are always clean and sanitized

Requirements

  • Accuracy and speed in executing assigned task

  • Accuracy in checking in product

  • Familiar with industry's best practices

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
