Title: Taproom Brand Ambassador
Department: Pubs - Taproom
FLSA Classification: Part-Time / Non-Exempt
Reports to: Taproom Manager
Position Summary
Goose Island is hiring a part-time Taproom Brand Ambassador for our Fulton St Brewery taproom. We pride ourselves with giving one of the best brewery experiences in the country and on our extremely knowledgeable staff. Our Taproom Brand Ambassador is responsible for educating our guests on Goose Island beer and culture, and ensuring all guests have a great time. To be successful in this role you should have great customer service skills, knowledge of the craft beer industry, an outgoing personality, and the ability to speak to large groups of people.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Providing informative weekend tours and tastings at the Fulton Street Brewery and Sacramento Barrel Warehouse

  • Selling merchandise and beer

  • Operating POS

  • Greeting visitors to the brewery

  • Changing kegs, washing glasses

  • Stocking beer and merchandise

  • Opportunities to work additional hours at Goose Island's Barrel House event center

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Must be 21+ per Chicago city law to sell and serve alcohol

  • 2+ years' service industry experience

  • Great attitude, exceptional interpersonal skills

  • Flexible availability, 10 to 20 hours per week depending on schedule (this job requires nights, weekends, and some holidays)

  • Ability to communicate well and maintain a positive work environment

  • Genuine love and interest for great beer

  • Bassett Certified

  • Certified Beer Server

  • College Degree
