Marine Electrician - 1st Class

Position Summary:
As a 1st Class Marine Electrician, you will be responsible for the installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair of complex electrical systems aboard naval and commercial vessels. You are expected to work independently with minimal supervision and mentor junior electricians as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and test high/low voltage shipboard electrical systems (power generation, lighting, motors, switchboards)
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical issues using diagnostic tools
  • Perform terminations, splicing, and cable pulls
  • Conduct continuity, insulation resistance, and operational tests
  • Ensure compliance with NAVSEA, OSHA, and company safety standards
  • Lead small crews or assist foremen in project execution
