Job description

The MLB Product Team is looking for a Senior Product Manager for our Fan Data Platform. This role will be responsible for enhancing the foundational Fan Data Platform that centralizes all MLB Fan Data in one single platform and enables use cases across hundreds of digital and physical touch points. This role will have a special focus on building products that support Ticketing, Marketing, and Digital Analytics, as we continue to expand and grow our products in this space. This capability plays a pivotal role in a wide variety of use cases in the Baseball industry including Analytics, Data Science, Personalization, Marketing, as well as Business Intelligence across various lines of businesses. We have a unique opportunity in the Baseball industry to leverage large scale data and drive new and exciting personalized experiences for millions of fans globally. This Senior Product Manager will play a critical role in creating them.

Responsibilities
  • Own the Product Management function for core components of MLB's Fan Data Platform related to Ticketing data. Focus on centralizing all ticketing data in one platform, creating new data products and enabling high value use cases across the industry
  • Serve as a primary product point of contact for MLB Clubs, partnering closely to understand their business needs, gather feedback, and ensure the Fan Data Platform effectively supports club-level analytics, marketing, and operational use cases
  • Drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups (Marketing, Analytics, Clubs, Ticketing partners, Engineering), balancing competing priorities , defining solutions, and influencing decision-making, and delivering high-quality products
  • Create and manage features, roadmaps, day to day planning activities and rollouts by effectively partnering with stakeholder groups, while balancing quick wins for immediate needs and a longer term product vision
  • Maintain a strong focus on data quality and governance
  • Build and manage relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders across the Baseball industry as well as our partners
  • Keep a pulse across sports and other industries, including best practices and trends. Evangelize new ideas and bring them into the organization
  • Identify and define new product opportunities by deeply understanding fan behavior, business needs, and data capabilities; translate these into scalable platform solutions
  • Define and track success metrics (e.g., data adoption, activation, revenue impact, data quality) and ensure product investments drive measurable business outcomes

Qualifications & Skills
  • 4-6 years of experience as a Product Manager supporting Data Platforms
  • Technical background along with hands on experience in analyzing large scale data sets with SQL, Python, R, etc
  • Strong problem solving skills. Ability to translate highly unstructured business problems into tangible solutions
  • Proven experience in shaping and prioritizing product roadmaps, owning large scale projects through to completion
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies such as scrum or kanban
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills
  • Self-starter who is energetic & enthusiastic, confident, adaptable & fan-oriented

Salary Range: $150,000 - $180,000 (Base Salary) + Bonus
