Office Assistant / School Van Driver

Northern Private School – Lake Worth, FL

Northern Private School is seeking a dependable, friendly, and organized Office Assistant / School Van Driver to join our team. This position combines administrative office responsibilities with safely transporting children to and from school activities. The ideal candidate is professional, detail-oriented, and passionate about working in a school environment.
Responsibilities
Transportation Duties

  • Safely transport children using the school van in accordance with all traffic laws and school policies.
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of all children during transportation.
  • Verify and recognize authorized parents and guardians during student pick-up and drop-off.
  • Conduct daily vehicle safety inspections and maintain cleanliness of the school van.
  • Maintain accurate transportation records as required.
Office Administration Duties

  • Answer phones, greet parents, students, and visitors in a professional and friendly manner.
  • Assist with student records, enrollment paperwork, and general office organization.
  • Utilize computer software and office equipment efficiently.
  • Assist with filing, copying, scanning, and other administrative tasks.
  • Support school staff with daily operational needs.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student and family information.
CCFP and MIPS Responsibilities

  • Experience using MIPS (Management Information and Payment System) is preferred.
  • Accurately enter and maintain meal count records.
  • Prepare and submit monthly CCFP (Child Care Food Program) claims.
  • Ensure compliance with all CCFP requirements and documentation standards.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous office administration experience preferred.
  • Experience using MIPS and submitting monthly CCFP claims required.
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and email.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Friendly, professional, and positive attitude.
  • Ability to recognize parents, guardians, and authorized individuals for child release.
  • Must be dependable, punctual, and organized.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
  • Must pass Level II background screenings and employment requirements.
  • Clean driving record preferred.
