About the Role


Mintahoe Catering & Events is seeking an experienced Venue Manager to lead daily venue operations and deliver elevated, memorable event experiences rooted in genuine hospitality. This role is responsible for overseeing venue logistics, coordinating catering services, and serving as the primary client contact for weddings, corporate events, and social celebrations.

The Venue Manager plays a key role in creating welcoming, seamless, and personalized experiences that reflect Mintahoe's commitment to exceptional service. This includes ensuring the venue's appearance, maintenance, and vendor coordination meet the highest standards, while guiding clients through each stage of the planning process with professionalism, care, and attention to detail.

The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, service-driven environment and demonstrates expertise in event planning, timeline management, and the integration of food and beverage services across all aspects of event execution. Key Responsibilities

Venue Operations & Management

  • Oversee daily operations of the venue, ensuring it is clean, maintained, and set up according to client specifications.
  • Coordinate with vendors, facilities, and setup teams to ensure all equipment, decor, and layouts are ready for events.
  • Monitor inventory of equipment, decor, and supplies; manage restocking and maintenance.
  • Maintain and enforce venue policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the venue is compliant with safety standards and operational requirements.

Event Planning & Coordination

  • Serve as the primary contact for clients, guiding them through every stage of event planning.
  • Work with clients to finalize food and beverage menus, assist with off-menu items, and accommodate dietary or other specific requests.
  • Develop detailed event timelines, layouts, and floor plans that incorporate food and beverage service seamlessly.
  • Coordinate with vendors, including AV, decor, rentals, and external service providers.
  • Identify opportunities to offer additional services, upgrades, or enhancements -      whether food, beverage, or rentals - to maximize the client experience and event revenue.
  • Ensure all planning deadlines are met by providing the culinary and operations teams with thorough, complete, accurate, and timely information to support seamless event execution.
  • Follow company policies and procedures to ensure accurate pricing, billing, and invoicing for all events, including menus, rentals, and additional services.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, ensuring repeat business, referrals, and positive professional connections.

Event Execution & Day-of Oversight

  • Act as the day-of coordinator, on-site from setup through service.
  • Lead rehearsals and ceremonies, when applicable, during the event.
  • Collaborate with setup, facilities, and catering teams to ensure smooth operations and consistent service standards.
  • Ensure smooth execution of all event details, including timelines, vendor coordination,      and food and beverage service, troubleshooting challenges in real-time,      and demonstrating flexibility and resourcefulness to maintain high standards and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients throughout events to ensure a positive, stress-free experience.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in venue management, event planning, or hospitality leadership.
  • Strong understanding of event execution, service timing, and food and beverage operations.
  • Proven ability to manage complex timelines and coordinate multiple vendors and service teams.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Comfortable working hands-on and on-site for events, including evenings, weekends, and high-volume periods.
  • Proficiency in Caterease or other event management software is a plus.
