Martin Marietta is currently looking for a motivated self-starter to take on our new position of Mobile Fleet Supervisor, reporting to the Regional Fleet Manager within the Mid-America Region. This position will promote and support field compliance with the Martin Marietta Mobile Equipment Management Program policies and standards.
Location:
Martin Marietta's Mid-America Region is a leading provider of aggregates, asphalt, and construction materials serving communities throughout the Midwest. The region supports critical infrastructure and development projects through a network of quarries, plants, and distribution facilities committed to safety, operational excellence, and customer-focused service.
Responsibilities:
  • Ensure coordination on movement, repair and maintenance of all mobile and stationary equipment
  • Establish lines of communication among all locations to assure proper distribution of equipment within the area in order to obtain maximum efficiency
  • Supervise and develop five field lube technicians
  • Provide safety leadership by attending/conducting meetings, ensuring appropriate safety discussions are held, and mentoring employees
  • Ensure that all preventive maintenance, maintenance scheduling, and contamination control standards are being adhered to.
  • Survey oil samples and equipment alert analysis. Work with Plant/District Leadership to resolve issues. Provide this information to Regional Fleet Manager for review on a weekly basis.
  • Coordinate and oversee the implementation of condition monitoring, telemetry, and other equipment management technologies
  • Work with Regional Fleet Manager to coordinate mobile repairs, all mobile rebuilds.
  • Conduct site audits and operational studies to identify cost reduction and equipment utilization improvement opportunities.

Required Education and Experience
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent experience require; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • 4 + years' supervisory/management experience maintaining and repairing large mobile fleets.
  • Solid understanding of aggregate processing and equipment
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Possess good people skills and be capable of developing and maintaining positive relationships
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • High standard of ethics, integrity, and trust; Good judgment
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and in BI systems
  • Ability to travel overnight as needed

Work Environment
This job operates frequently in a maintenance and operations environment in surface and underground mining operations.This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and copiers.

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
Physical requirements include the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist, visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination, manual dexterity, repetitive motion, standing, sitting, walking, climbing stairs, bending and stooping, working from a elevated position and the ability to drive.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position that regularly requires long hours and weekend work. Occasional travel will be required.
