Fleet Operator

Location- Tucson, AZ
Work Arrangement- Onsite, Monday - Friday

What you'll do
Transportation Operations:Safely operate company vehicles including F550 trucks with 35 ft trailers and smaller pickups to deliver and pick up materials between two sites and vendor locations. Daily tasks include loading, securing, transporting, and unloading materials while adhering to DOT and company safety standards.
Customer Interaction:Maintain effective communication with customers, site managers, and warehouse personnel to ensure timely and accurate deliveries and pickups. Represent Weir professionally in all customer and vendor interactions.
Documentation & Compliance:Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, maintain accurate delivery records, logs, and shipping documentation in compliance with DOT regulations.
Travel Requirements:Primarily local travel between Tucson sites and nearby vendor locations with occasional overtime hours, averaging 45-50 hours per week.

What you'll bring
Must-haves:
Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a clean driving record.
Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience with knowledge of safely tying down loads.
Strong customer-facing skills with effective communication abilities.
Ability to meet DOT medical requirements and maintain compliance with all applicable regulations.

Nice-to-haves:
Current MSHA (Mine Safety and Health Administration) training certification.
Experience delivering materials to industrial, mining, construction, or manufacturing sites.
Forklift certification and experience operating material handling equipment.
Familiarity with local roads, routes, and customer service best practices.
